Great RV Campgrounds in Kansas

1. Elk City State Park
Elk City is located just northwest of Independence on the east shore of Elk City Reservoir and wildlife area. The park is known for its diverse trail system perfect for mountain biking, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Access the boat ramps for fishing, spend time at the swimming beach, or take the kids to the playground. There is also disk golf and archery to keep you entertained. With so much to do, you’ll want to stay at one of the 87 shaded RV sites with hookups.
2. Fall River State Park
East of Wichita is Fall River State Park. The Fall River flows into the lake with the campground along the shores. Enjoy the views of the forested plains and blackjack savannas. Take a canoe to explore the river and fish. Spend the day hiking the trails, cool off at the swimming beach, plan a hunting excursion at the neighboring wildlife area, or just relax at your campsite. There are 46 RV sites with nearby water access to choose from as your basecamp.

3. Sand Hills State Park
One hour north of Wichita and outside of Hutchinson is Sand Hills State Park. This park offers trails to explore the sand dunes by foot or horseback. There are 64 RV utility sites including a fire ring, lantern stand, grill, and picnic table. Several of the campsites are designated for horses with corrals and frost-free hydrants for year-round camping.
4. Webster State Park
In northern Kansas, Webster State Parks offers several large campgrounds on the shores of Webster Lake with easy access to sandy beaches, boating, fishing, and scenic views. Nearby is the Webster Wildlife Area that is home to white-tailed and mule deer, turkey, pheasant, and quail. Reserve one of four shelters for picnicking with the family and choose from 93 RV sites with hookups to extend your stay.
5. El Dorado State Park
El Dorado State Park is Kansas’ largest park with over 360 RV sites on the eastern and western shores of the reservoir! The area offers a variety of fun for the entire family making it a premier camping destination.
